Job Description

As a Food Preparer & Line Cook, you are the person at the foundation of our product. You will coordinate with the executive team to prepare ingredients and cook food products ready to be served to customers. You will communicate with associates, managers, and customers. You will be responsible for maintaining the high-quality of our products by giving attention to detail and adhering to the specifications of all products. Additionally, you will multitask, which includes using the deep fryer, range and flat top grill to ensure that the flow of the operation and food being prepared for customers remains continuous and uninterrupted.

Other responsibilities include but are not limited to supporting customer service, dish washing, cleaning and sanitizing all areas of the restaurant, troubleshooting issues, opening and closing the restaurant.

Candidates Requirements

  • Food service experience (preferred)

  • Able to work minimum 25 hours per week (including weekends and holidays)

  • ServSafe Certification (preferred)

  • Follow verbal and written instructions and recipes, and adhere to strict food safety guidelines

  • Customer service friendly attitude

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Physical stamina

  • Good communication skills

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Willingness to learn

  • Flexible availability

  • HS diploma or equivalent; culinary school diploma a plus

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare raw and cooked meats, grains, vegetables and other food items

  • Knife skills, working on flat top grill, fryer, and range

  • Prepare food during off-peak periods

  • Assemble orders in an efficient and professional manner

  • Accurately proportion food and follow recipes

  • Greet customers and share knowledge of our products, as needed

  • FIFO rotation, date & label all products

  • Record time-temperature logs for cooked products

  • Clean and sanitize workspaces during shift and scheduled restaurant cleaning

  • Assist in opening and closing procedures of kitchen and restaurant

  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the manager on duty
